Kaleb Johnson Produces Four Feature Triumphs During Solid Season

Inside Line Promotions – CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 10, 2025) – Kaleb Johnson enjoyed a strong year that featured four feature victories and a runner-up result in the Huset’s Speedway championship standings.

“I would say overall it went pretty well,” the Team DGRD driver said. “I felt we were strong for most of the year. We showed speed, but have to improve on certain areas. A lot of it is qualifying. We qualified good at Huset’s, but on the bigger stages, that’s where we struggled and that seems to dictate how your night goes. If we can improve on that it will give us a better shot at racing up front in the national shows.”

Johnson kicked off the season at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., by winning the season opener. It marked his first career 410ci winged sprint car triumph. He followed that up by capturing the second and third races of the season at the high-banked oval, becoming the first driver since 2008 to win the first three points races of the year at Huset’s Speedway.

“Our month of May was our best of the season,” he said. “All things were clicking and we were working really good as a team. Everything we did just went right. We had some good results on the track. At Huset’s, I felt any time the track slicked off we had a shot to win and we proved that. It was a good stretch.”

Johnson recorded his final victory of the season in September at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill., where he earned his first-ever Midwest Open Wheel Association triumph.

“Spoon River was a good night, too,” he said. “We unloaded with speed and managed to get it done in the feature. We had a car I could put anywhere on the track. It was cool to shake off some bad luck that we had for awhile and turn it around with a win.”

After leading the Huset’s Speedway points standings for most of the season, Johnson placed second in the final standings by only five points.

“That one stings, especially when you don’t finish outside the top 10 in points races at the track all year,” he said. “It came down to qualifying the very last night. At the end of the day we lost to one of the hottest drivers in the country. Second is something to still be proud of.”

Also of note, Johnson earned his first career top-10 finish in Central Pennsylvania, he garnered his third career top 10 with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and he finished in the top 10 in the Knoxville Raceway (in Knoxville, Iowa) championship standings despite not competing there full time.

“I want to thank Dennis and Betty Gainey, our crew and the great sponsors for the opportunity and for the support,” Johnson said. “We had some great moments and some moments to build on this year.”
