Kaleb won 4 out of 6 features on Thanksgiving weekend at the annual Turkey Chase indoor race at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, NE. On Friday Kaleb won both Jr. 2 Light and Heavy features. On Saturday he won the Jr. 2 Light feature and finished 3rd in Jr. 2 Heavy. In the Grand finale on Sunday he started last in the Light feature and ended up getting crashed. After making some quick repairs he made it out to his 3rd starting spot in the 20 lap $800 to win heavy feature. Kaleb led all 20 laps for the biggest win of his career.

Kaleb swept all 4 Jr. 2 races at the Lancaster Events Center in Lincoln, NE. Saturday started on the pole of the Jr.2 Light feature and led all 15 laps. He started 3rd in the Jr. 2 Heavy feature and with 6 laps remaining took the lead and led the remainder for the victory. Sunday Kaleb won both features in his TRR powered Phantom Chassis.

Kaleb raced at the 5th annual Boogieman Race in Kansas City, KS. on Saturday and into Sunday morning. He started 15th in the Jr.2 Heavy feature and raced his way up to 5th at the checkered. He really needed a caution as he was one of the faster karts at the end the feature. In the Jr. 2 Light feature he ended up starting 24th and ended in 9th at the finish in another race that went green- white- checkered.

Kaleb entered the final weekend of the IKF Northland Tour in third and first in the Junior 2 Animal divisions. With 2 runner-up finishes at the Atwater Speedway in the Light division Kaleb jumped up to second in the final standings. Congratulations to Dillon Sampson for winning the Jr. 2 Light title. Kaleb went the entire season without winning a feature in the Jr. 2 Animal Heavy feature but his consistant finishes over the course of the season earned him the 2009 Championship.

With 3 wins over the weekend Kaleb earned both the Junior 2 Light & Heavy Championships in the IKF Midwest Speedway Tour series for 2009. On Saturday Kaleb earned the clean sweep as he won all 4 heat races and both A features. On Sunday he finished second behind Max Jacobson in the Jr. 2 Light feature thus earning him the championship by 1 point over Jacobson. Kaleb wrapped up the weekend by winning the Jr. 2 Heavy feature from the fifth starting spot.

Kaleb earned the North Dakota Junior 2 Heavy State Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Forks Karting Association in Grand Forks, ND. Kaleb started on the pole and survived several yellow flags to lead all 20 laps in the Junior 2 Animal Heavy feature. Earlier in the day Kaleb came up one spot short of his second championship as he finished second in the Junior 2 Light Championship feature.

Kaleb raced the double show at the University Plains Speedway in Brookings, SD. on Saturday July 18th and Sunday July 19th. Kaleb recorded two wins on Saturday along with 2 second place finishes. On Sunday he recorded 1 win, 2 seconds and 3 thirds.

Kaleb raced with the Midwest Champions Series on July 3rd & 4th at the Wavelink Raceway Park just outside of Lincoln, NE. On Friday he started 10th in the Jr. 2 Medium feature and raced his way up to 6th. We really needed a yellow to bunch the field as Kaleb had a fast kart but went 20 laps non-stop. The Jr. 2 Heavy feature was rained out. On Sat. July 4th Kaleb started 13th in the Jr. 2 medium and finished in 6th again. In the Jr. 2 Heavy feature he started 8th and took the lead on the fourth lap and led the final 16 laps for his 7th feature win of the season.

Kaleb raced at the Uncle Frank's - Ultramax Nationals at the University Plains Speedway in Brookings, SD. on Sunday afternoon. Kaleb qualified 5th for the Junior 3 Lite feature and then ran 4th for much of the feature. Then in the last few laps the top five started battling for the top spot and after the dust settled Kaleb ended up in fifth. He qualified 6th for the Junior 3 Pro Heavy feature got a great start and was running in fifth place when the motor started to cut out in the last 3 laps. Kaleb dropped 2 spots to 7th at the checkered.
